    We are attending a convention at the Contemporary Resort in July-4 adults; 3 children. We have requested adjoining rooms; which other request would you suggest as our second? Would like for kids to be close to monorail and a view of MK.

    Hi, Cathy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Disney's Contemporary Resort is a fantastic choice, as it would be my first choice also. Aside from the fantastic views of Magic Kingdom Theme Park and a monorail stop so close - it is INSIDE the resort, you also have the convenience of being able to walk over to Magic Kingdom Theme Park. That five minute walk is my personal favorite convenience!

    My second choice is another fantastic resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This resort also offers an amazing view of Cinderella Castle. You can actually watch Wishes nighttime spectacular right from the beach and beat the crowds! My boys love the Lava Pool which features a water slide and a waterfall - all inside a volcano! For the adults, you can also visit the new Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. Even my kids were able to enjoy a non-alcoholic fun drink. This is a very popular night-time lounge and fills up quickly. We arrived about 20 minutes before the 4:00pm opening time and were seated immediately when they opened. It was an experience unlike any other we have had. The entire lounge comes to life as Guests order certain drinks. It was a blast! This resort is currently under construction in some areas as the resort is under refurbishment. However, the main lobby and Lava Pool are currently finished and are absolutely wonderful!
