We are attending to a conference in florida and we got the option to purchase a twilight Disney ticket. How much time do we get to enjoy the park with a twilight ticket? Should we purchase a fast line genie + pass if we have a twilight ticket? Thanks!

    Hello Aisha!

Welcome to planDisney! The Twilight Park Ticket is a rare type of ticket that is only available to certain attendees of onsite conferences and meetings arranged through Disney Meetings and Events. These tickets tend to be discounted and let guests enter the park around 5 PM. I have seen ticket options that could allow the guest to come in at 1 PM.  Check the ticket details when you get them to confirm your allowed arrival time.

If you have the 1 PM arrival then you have quite a bit of time to enjoy the Parks. Check out the Hours & Events Calendar to see the Park Hours. If you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park, you may see that the Park doesn't close until 11 PM but Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park closes at 8 PM. Purchasing Disney Genie+ would make sense when you have this much time as you can start making reservations at 7 AM and just look for time slots for after your arrival. Just keep an eye on the time in the Tip Board section of the My Disney Experience Mobile App which will show the next time you can make another booking. This way, by the time you arrive in the Parks you could have multiple Lightning Lanes reserved ready to be enjoyed.

If your Twilight Ticket is for a 5 PM arrival then it may be a tight squeeze for using Disney Genie+. You could purchase Disney Genie+ and try to book Lightning Lane return times for after 5 PM but depending on which Park you choose to go to then it may or may not be strategic. I recently had a trip where due to work I only had time to visit the Parks in the evening. I chose to enjoy my time at Magic Kingdom Park as it had the latest closure time. To make the most of my time I purchased an Individual Lightning Lane for TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise. I then found attractions with lower wait times and just enjoyed the Park as best as I could. I found that wait times dropped dramatically after the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom Park. This was a great Park to enjoy an evening-only adventure and I still had a magical time! Think about what you want to enjoy and consider if it is worth the work to spend the day booking Lightning Lanes for the evening. Many times Lightning Lanes run out by mid-afternoon so you will have to spend your conference day worried about making the bookings as it will be too late to start when you arrive in the evening.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to let me know!

    Happy Planning!
