Hi there Kimberly, and welcome to planDisney!
Kicking off the New Year with a conference in the Sunshine State sounds fantastic! You're going to love the relaxing, lakeside oasis of
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It'll be the perfect place to warm up while Elsa is making things chilly back home. Be sure to spend some time at
Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa Del Lago for some al fresco Spanish-American cuisine.
Sometimes, conventionEARs visiting Walt Disney World are eligible for special admission through the conference they are attending, so I recommend checking with your organization first to see if there are any theme park ticket discounts available during your stay. If there aren't any ticket deals offered through your conference, see if your or your employer is affiliated with a third-party vendor; I am eligible for discounts on entertainment and other activities through a company called Tickets at Work, and I have purchased
Disney theme park tickets on this site. Additionally, if you belong to AAA or Costco, you might find discounted tickets or vacation packages there, targeted at all members, not specifically convention attendees.
I hope you find something that works for you, Kimberly. If visiting the theme parks doesn't work out with your schedule, consider hopping a bus from your resort to
Disney Springs when your workday concludes. There's no cost to enter, and you'll enjoy plenty of unique shopping and dining opportunities. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and we look forward to seeing ya real soon!
Happy holidays,
Betsy
