Attending conf. June 17, at Contemp. Would like to book package with dining, but will be special room rate with conf. Can I book package now and update with different room rate in fall?

    Hi Amy,

Glad you'll be able to work and play at Walt Disney World Resort. I've had the opportunity on a few occasions to be a ConventionEAR and most of the times my family joined me. Work during the day, and play at night. My kind of fun.

Typically, when conventions or Disney Meetings are held at a Disney Resort hotel, special rates are available for attendees. Discount Theme Park Tickets may be available, including special half day options, however, in my experience, you cannot add a Disney Dining Plan to conference rates. You will still receive all the Disney Resort Hotel Guest Benefits.

One year, a Special Offer for a free Disney Dining Plan was available. At that time, I opted to book that instead of the conference rate. I would keep an eye for any offers available, however, note that conference rates have different cancellation terms.

Still a year to go, but you will soon notice that you will need to start packing.

    Ricardo.
