Hi there, Jasmine! Boo to you—and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you’re headed for a frightfully fun night at
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party! I’m counting down the days until my own visit in October, and I can already taste the
hauntingly delicious treats and hear the spooky sounds of
Villains Grove. Costumes are half the fun at this special after-hours event, so I love that you’re planning to bring the magic to life as Kida from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. What a show-stopping choice!
Your question is such a good one. The part that gives me a little pause is that you mentioned the costume is two pieces. That makes me think some skin may be exposed, which could be viewed as “excessive” by Cast Members. Ultimately, it’s up to their discretion, and I’d hate for you to arrive only to be turned away and asked to change before entering. The official
Disneyland Resort dress code does note that “clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment” is not suitable for the Resort.
But don’t lose hope, Jasmine! I’ve seen some really clever Kida-inspired costumes that use a robe or dress-style garment in the same color scheme and patterns, giving the look of Kida’s outfit while offering more coverage. That way, you’ll still channel the fierce warrior princess vibe but in a way that’s more likely to pass the family-friendly test. Just make sure that any dress or robe doesn’t drag on the ground—you wouldn’t want to stumble before the night’s spooky fun even begins!
And speaking of fun—you’re in for such a spooktacular time. From
immersive treat trails (I STILL have candy left over from last year!) to the
Frightfully Fun Parade and rare character sightings, Oogie Boogie Bash is full of surprises around every corner. However you decide to style your Kida costume, Jasmine, I know you’ll have an unforgettable evening.
Wishing you a night of candy, costumes, and just the right amount of spook!
