Geraldine from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I attended a Jostens Renaissance Conference in Kissimmee, FL. Group after 5 pm Magic Kingdom tickets were purchased for park entrance on July 18, 2022. I have my ticket, but was unable to attend with the group because of illness. Does the ticket expire?

    Hi Geraldine! Welcome to planDisney!

Any reason to travel close to the Walt Disney World Resort is a great reason in my books! The conference you attended seems like it was a fun event. I'm sorry that an illness forced you to miss the big night out at the Magic Kingdom. It is unfortunate that the timing did not work out in your favor. Luckily for you, being a Florida resident means you are just a hop, skip, and jump away from the Most Magical Place on Earth

There are a few conditions to consider here since your situation seems rather unique. Typically, every Walt Disney World park ticket is nontransferable and nonrefundable, but they usually will not lose their value at any time. Normally if you missed the date your ticket was valid, you would be able to apply this value toward a future ticket purchase. Being that your ticket was purchased as a group ticket, there may be different rules that apply in this scenario.

Your first option should be to try and link your ticket to your My Disney Experience account if possible. Once you are logged in, select "Park Tickets" followed by "Link Tickets". Once here, enter the Ticket ID Code located underneath the barcode on your ticket. This should link your park ticket to your account. Once linked, check to see if there is a "Change Ticket" option located where your tickets are displayed on your screen. If not, go with the second option and call the Existing Tickets line to speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to assist you further.

If you are unable to link your ticket to your account, it may be that this ticket was a specialty purchase. It might be a good idea to try and reach out to the person who coordinated the event to find out your options. They may have been supplied with a set of rules regarding different scenarios for these tickets. I would also suggest thoroughly checking the ticket you received for any fine print.

Geraldine, I hope this information helps you figure out your ticket options. Have a magical time during your next stay!

    See ya real soon!
