We want to attend the Wishes Desert Party at Tomorrowland to view the fireworks. Do you think it's really worth it to spend over $40 for an adult & child for desert? Is the view really that good from this restaurant?

    Hi Carol,

I'm one of those Disney fanatics that wants to try EVERYTHING at least once! I attended the Wishes Dessert Party in April & loved it. Its an amazing place to watch the fireworks!

It is held on the Tomorrowland Terrace & you get a comfortable seat to watch the fireworks. You aren't among the sea of people in the MK so you don't have to fight for a good spot 2+ hours before the fireworks. A CM at the WDP told me they limit attendees to ~200 guests so there is plenty of elbow room. None of the tables were right up next to the wall & we were free to move our chairs or stand near the outer wall if we wanted. I also loved (especially with kids) that there is a restroom nearby.

The desserts are deeee-lish! You get to try as many as you want so eat an early dinner & come hungry. They break down the buffet as the fireworks start so be sure to get all you want before settling in for an incredible view of Wishes. Tinker Bell flies right towards you & goes over your head for her landing. There will be a PhotoPass Photographer on hand that will take some great pics of your family w/ Cinderella Castle in the background.

Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Prices are seasonal & can range from $21.99 (ages 10 & up) & $11.99 (ages 3 - 9) to $27.68 (ages 10 & up) to $14.90 (ages 3 - 9).  MK Theme Park admission is also required & is not included in the price of the dessert party. They are currently booking through the end of 2010. However, the CM I spoke with said that the dessert party will not be held on special event nights (i.e., NOJ, MNSSHP & MVMCP).

Is it something I'd pay for every visit? Well yes if I could afford it but since I can't, I'd recommend giving a shot this time & using the $ for a different special experience next trip. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
