I am attend galaxy’s edge for the first time and was wondering if I can bring my own lightsaber for picture purposes only ??

    Bright Suns, Richard!

Your journey to Batuu will certainly be memorable and heroic. Though there may be perilous challenges ahead. Your Jedi weapon, typically a valued tool to help advance the cause of the Resistance, may not be trusted by those loyal to the First Order. Depending on your lightsaber’s appearance, form, and perhaps its color of kyber crystal, security Cast Members on the perímeter of the Disneyland Resort may decline to grant you entrance with it. While it may seem arbitrary, rest assured that the security and safety of all of the resort guests is the highest priority.

In other words, feel free to bring your lightsaber with you to the Disneyland Resort. But be prepared with a plan “B” should you not be permitted to enter with your lightsaber. I will say that lightsabers that are collapsible or that are more toy-like in appearance are more likely to be acceptable for entry into the secure area of the resort.

While you are planning your journey to the Black Spire Outpost, you may be interested in adding Disney MaxPass to your theme park ticket. With MaxPass, you get easy access to available Disney FASTPASS return times to attractions such as Hyperspace Mountain. Plus, you also get unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos for the day. That includes those epic shots in front of the Millennium Falcon or the First Order TIE echelon located at Docking Bay 9 (the First Order Encampment).

Enjoy your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Richard. And may the Force be with you, always.
