We are attempting to plan a family reunion with over 20 people on a Disney Cruise in either June or July 2026. Without confirmed Disney Cruise schedules we are limited in plans. What can we do to prepare without these confirmed dates?

Ahoy there, Ronald! Thank you for sailing by planDisney as you get ready to plan a fantastic family reunion on Disney Cruise Line.  I love sailing the high seas with lots of family members and friends.

First things first, stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog and the Disney Cruise Line social media sites for the announcement of the release of Summer 2026 itineraries and beyond. You can always find the latest and greatest information on Disney Parks Blog! Here are my suggestions to help you all start preparing before the dates are released though:
    • With a pirate crew this large, I suggest finding an authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help with making reservations and providing reminders to you about important dates, such as when your advance booking window opens and when the final payment is due. This potentially gives your family members one point of contact to make their reservation for them.
    • Look around the Disney Cruise Line website to determine what type of cruise you want or what destinations you want to visit. Bahamian itineraries will most likely be available next summer, and they can be 3, 4, or 5-Nights long.  If you are interested in seeing Alaska, those sailings are usually 7-Nights long. Deciding on the type of cruise you want will help narrow down the dates.
    • If you are more interested in a particular ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, then you can look at the types of itineraries those ships currently sail or will sail this summer. For example, the new Disney Treasure currently has 7-Night Eastern or Western Caribbean itineraries. If you do not want to sail that long, then the Treasure may not be the right ship for your family reunion if those itineraries remain the same in the summer of 2026.
Knowing some of these things upfront will allow you all to book when the itineraries open. That is when they are usually the lowest in cost. Ronald, I hope this helps as you wait, along with me, for the remaining 2026 itineraries to be released. In the meantime, come back to visit me and my planDisney pals if you have more questions. We would love to help you and your family plan your reunion.

    Adventure is out there!
