Hi Jerrica,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A few years ago I planned a Walt Disney World vacation for a group of eighteen with four different family units. To spend time together and not break the bank, you might want to plan one or two activities a day for everyone to gather, then at other times let people go their own way depending on age and interest. You could all gather at a quick service restaurant for lunch, then meet again for fireworks in the evening.
You could plan a couple of special activities. I love the
Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party, or you could try the new
Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party. For great family fun, you can always count on the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. If you'd rather have a meal together, why not take in the great food and fun show at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue?
As for the dining plans, they can be a great deal. You might want to look at the restaurants and menus to get an idea of where you would like to dine. You can price out a day of meals for your family to see if the dining plan would save you money.
I hope I've given you some ideas to start with. Please let me know if I can help you any further.
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
Amy H.
