How do I attach a lightning pass to my kids tickets that I bought on the $50 special. They are ages 5 and 7. When I go to add it to my two adult tickets, it doesn’t let me click on the children’s. Do they not need a fast pass since my two adults have it?

Heya, hiya, Kayla! It’s my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney! We’re here to help answer your Disney Parks planning questions, including that all-important one about Lightning Lane Multi Pass! Let’s get started, shall we?

Living so close to the Happiest Place on Earth, I've been known to treat myself with a Lightning Lane Multi Pass upgrade from time to time. I just love the convenience it brings. Plus, it’s perfect for families that want to maximize their time in the parks and create unforgettable memories.

If I’m understanding your question correctly, Kayla, it sounds like you’ve already purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your adult tickets, but you’re hoping to add this upgrade to your kids’ tickets. I have great news! Tickets purchased through the Kids’ Special Ticket Offer are absolutely eligible for this upgrade, and your kids are the perfect age to unlock the express lane to extra smiles and magical memories with their very own Lightning Lane Multi Passes.

If the magic is in your favor, you may be able to upgrade your tickets online. Just head over to the Change Tickets page and log in to your Disney account. You should see your tickets if they’re linked to your account already. If not, click the “Link Tickets” button to get those added. Once they’re there, you may see an option to modify or upgrade your children’s tickets. If so, go ahead and click that option and walk through the steps until the upgrade has been completed successfully.

If you’re not seeing the upgrade option online, or if you need a little extra assistance, the next option is to give the tickets hotline a call. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist, and you’ll be off enjoying the magic in no time.

Your third option, which is equally quick and simple, is to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your kids’ tickets on the day of your visit. Once their tickets have been scanned at the park’s main entrance, simply open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu button (three-lined icon) at the bottom right, and tap the “Lightning Lane Passes” tile. In just a few short steps, you’ll be able to purchase the upgrade.

Now that we’ve got that settled, here comes the challenging part: Deciding which attraction to enjoy first! I was excited to learn that Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is Lightning Lane Multi Pass-eligible. And, here’s a pro tip, Kayla: As soon as you’ve scanned into your first Lightning Lane attraction, you can book your next one right in the app. No waiting required! This way, you can keep the fun going and make the most of every moment.

I hope this helps you and your family have the most magical Disneyland vacation ever, Kayla! If you have any more questions, just give us a shout—we're always here to add a little sparkle to your planning!
