How to attach Disney gift cards

    Welcome, Deborah!

I'm so excited for your visit in just a few days! You are going to love soaking in the holiday season with an extra dose of pixie dust. When you're getting ready for a Disneyland Resort visit, it's always helpful to know how to organize all the magical tools at your fingertips. Disney Gift Cards are a great way to be mindful of spending without taking away from the magic, whether you're treating yourself to holiday sweets or memory-making souvenirs. Let's take a look at your question together.

Disney Gift Cards can be used throughout the parks at Disney-owned dining, quick-service, and retail locations. They can also be used within the Disneyland App to pay for Mobile Orders or Merchandise Mobile Check Out. I recommend adding gift cards to your mobile wallet for the ability to quickly tap if you are paying in person. If you are making in-app purchases, gift cards cannot be added as an automatic payment method like a credit card, but you are able to enter them manually at checkout. You will see an option to "Use a Different Payment Method" where you can enter the number located just under the barcode. A planDisney hot tip is to create a note in your smartphone that has all of your gift card numbers already listed out, so you can do a quick copy and paste instead of entering them every time. We also like to recommend that if you have multiple cards, you combine the balances, which can be done on the Disney Gift Card website under the "My Cards" section. Currently, you can combine up to a total of $1,000, but this is subject to change.

Speaking of Mobile Order, you are visiting just as the holiday season is kicking off with lots of limited-time sweets and treats! You may want to take a look through the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Holidays at the Disneyland Resort! It seems like everything has gotten a taste of the holidays, down to the famous Disneyland churros, which now offer an apple pie dipping sauce if purchased near Sleeping Beauty Castle and a chocolate peppermint dipping sauce over at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Pretzels!

Deborah, I'm wishing you magic and unforgettable memories for your visit this week! If you have any more questions or need a friendly tip or two, we are always here for you at planDisney.

    Happy holidays!
