Never ate at TS rests. in DW before, need help! Le Cellier or Garden Grill? Best park rests. w/ or w/o characters? Trying to plan for ADRs and am stuck! Have 9,5, 1, and picky husband! Also, bkft. and dinner @ 1900 PF, or just one? Sorry about all the ?s!

    Jennifer,

The table service restaurants are one of my favorite things about Disney World.  The quality and service are top notch and its a convenient way to get the kids to relax and unwind.

The Garden Grill has a set meal.  The adults at the table are served a large platter to share, while the kids get to order off their own menu.  The platter usually consists of flank steak, turkey breast, a filet of fish, stuffing, potatoes, and veggies.  The seafood choice and the vegetables have been a little different each time we have gone.  If your husband likes those choices, I would recommend the Garden Grill.  Your kids will be amused at how the restaurant rotates while you're there and they will get to visit with some fun characters.  Keep your eyes on Chip, he's a real trouble maker.

As far as 1900 Park Fare, I would recommend breakfast.  I have never gone there for dinner because neither I nor my 4 year old daughter want to dine with Cinderella's evil step-mother and step-sisters.  I have heard they are funny and its a friendly experience, but it doesn't sound like something we would like.

On the other hand, I have gone to 1900 Park Fare a half a dozen times for breakfast and always love it.  Its one of the few character breakfasts that has an omelet station and they have a wonderful strawberry soup.  My daughter fills her glass with it and drinks it with a straw.  Its basically a strawberry smoothie.  I drizzle it over cut-up bananas.

Other great restaurants the whole family will like are, the Sci Fi Dine-in, 50s Prime Time Cafe, Crystal Palace, and the Biergarten.

    Enjoy your trip
