Assuming the new night time show at Epcot will be similar to Illuminations, is there a location outside of the park that you can see the show? Staying at Caribbean and planning a rope drop the next morning at HS with 3 kids under 7 who need sleep!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brandi!

One of my golden rules when visiting Walt Disney World Resort is: sleep is the key to family harmony and happiness. I am a true believer in mid-day nap and pool breaks and making sure everyone gets the sleep they need at night, so I love that you are working bedtime into your plans!

A good option for your family might be a reservation at Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort. This resort is scheduled to open in December 2019, and is located right next to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Topolino's Terrace (projected to open this fall) will be a signature dining experience where Guests with well-timed reservations will have rooftop views of the nighttime spectaculars at Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. After watching the fireworks there, you could just walk back to your room. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about an opening date for Topolino's Terrace and to see if it might be a good fit for your plans.

We won't really know what the views will be like for Epcot Forever until the show debuts on October 1. Right now, you can get a decent view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from the bridge connecting Epcot's International Gateway entrance to Disney's Beach Club Resort, but you don't hear the music from that location. You could try to time a ride on the Disney Skyliner to watch the fireworks from the air (how cool would that be?!) but you'd likely end up heading back to your resort with everyone leaving Epcot after the show, which doesn't save you any time.

My advice is to watch social media, the Disney Parks Blog, and check in with your friends here on the Moms Panel after Epcot Forever opens to see if there's new advice once we've seen Epcot Forever and once the Disney Skyliner is up and running and we know more about its operations. This also gives us time to see what views might be available from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort – there is nothing like watching fireworks in your jammies with a Mickey-shaped treat and some family snuggles!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
