Hey there, Joe! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. What a kind and thoughtful gesture!
Good news,
Disney Gift Cards can be purchased online, and your assistant will be able to use it anywhere in the parks – merchandise, food, beverage, you name it. You can
email the gift card to her, and she can either print it out or add it to her Apple Wallet / Google Pay for ease of use.
How special that she is visiting the Happiest Place on Earth for the very first time. Maybe you can pass along a few other tips from me to make her visit extra special:
~ She can pick up a complimentary 1st Visit button at any Disney gift shop or Guest Services location
~ She should download the
Disneyland mobile app prior to her visit, as it’s much easier to manage logistics during the day (mobile ordering, using Disney Genie+, checking wait times, using Disney PhotoPass, ….) Also, she should bring a mobile charger to keep her phone powered up!
~ She can use the Disney Gift Card you generously provide her to add
Disney Genie+ service to her day (currently $20/day per ticket, price subject to change.) Especially for first time visitors, it’s very helpful to access the shorter queues (known as
Lightning Lanes) so you can experience more attractions during the day. Even on the busiest days at the parks, I can get on every attraction I want when I have Genie+.
~ We have a 25 minute
planDisney Podcast episode dedicated to Disneyland Resort tips! If she has a few minutes before her visit, she can watch or listen.
You're a kind-hearted person, Joe! Please wish her the most magical visit ever.
