I could use assistance with Genie+ and dining reservations.

Hi Sarah! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Oh boy! You're only a month away from your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Now is the perfect time to finalize your Advanced Dining Reservations and start planning for how you are going to utilize Disney Genie+ during your stay!

Advanced Dining Reservations are available up to 60 days in advance, so now is a great time to book them if you haven't done so already. To do so, log on to your My Disney Experience account and select "Dining" followed by "Make a Reservation". This will take you to a list of all dining locations at Walt Disney World and a filter option to narrow down your choices. Select a restaurant that you want to make a reservation for and search for the date and time that you desire. If available, you can select the reservation time and follow the prompts to complete the booking. You can also use the toolbar at the top of the page and select a date and time. All restaurants that have availability for that selection will populate below.

You can also search for dining reservations using the My Disney Experience App by downloading it to your mobile device. Once logged in, tap on the "+" sign followed by "Check Dining Availability" to search for reservations. The mobile app is perfect to help you plan on the go.

Now that you have the My Disney Experience App, it will come in handy when using Disney Genie+. To use this service, you'll need to purchase it each park day you plan to use it. To do so, open up the app and tap on "Purchase" in the purple bar that reads "Disney Genie+ Service". Select the Guests in your party that want to use it on this day and follow the prompts for payment. Make sure to do this before 7 AM since you can make your first Lightning Lane selection at this time. To view available selections, tap on the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner of your screen. Select "Tip Board" followed by the park you are going to visit. This will reveal a list of the attractions at this park. Disney Genie+ does not allow you to select a specific time, you'll only be able to choose the next available time slot.

Once you make your first selection of the day, you can then make another one once you ride that attraction. If your first selection is not until later in the day, you can make a second selection two hours after the official park opening time. If both of these selections happen to be for later in the day, you can make a third selection two hours after your second one. You can follow these steps throughout the day until you finally use a selection. You'll need to repeat these steps each day you plan to use the service.

Individual Lightning Lane attractions are not included in the Disney Genie+ service. Currently, there is one attraction at each park that is designated as an Individual Lightning Lane. You can reserve an arrival window for this attraction following the same steps as mentioned before. An individual purchase price per Guest will be shown to reserve a time slot for this ride. Tap on that selection and follow the prompts to reserve this attraction.

Sarah, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming visit! Stop back to planDisney anytime with additional questions!

    See ya real soon!
