Welcome to planDisney, Mary!
Can you believe that you're less than a month away from feeling the sun on your face and your toes in the sand at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa? You must be getting so excited! As it just so happens, the
Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas are one of the few DVC Resort I haven't gotten to visit for myself yet and I'm
dying to go –– with world-class accommodations, rich Hawaiian Cultural details, and a little Disney magic sprinkled in, it sounds like a perfect slice of paradise to me!
For my family, the biggest perk of staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort is the
incredible Villa accommodations, and Aulani Resort is no exception. With a fully-equipped kitchen and in-room washer and dryer in the 1-Bedroom Villa, 2-Bedroom Villa, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas, each Resort truly feels like home. But what good is having access to a kitchen without plenty of goodies to fill it up, right? So, I reached out to an Aulani Resort Cast Member to find out the best way to stock your shelves. For simple, sundry items, you'll find a limited selection right at the Resort's Kalepa's Store. You can also find a much larger selection of groceries –– like deli items, produce, salads, beer, and wine –– near Aulani Resort at Island Country Market, located at the Ko Olina Resort (there's even a super-convenient complimentary shuttle to the resort located right across the street from Aulani).
And if you'd like to make things super simple (isn't that what vacation is about, after all?), you can also employ my favorite method for stocking a DVC Resort kitchen –– grocery delivery. Personally, I think the easiest way to do this is by using an app-based delivery service, like Instacart, which should give you a few nearby options to choose from. Just be sure that your delivery is addressed to "Guest (name on the reservation)" and that you don't arrange to have your groceries delivered until after you've checked in –– you won't be able to have your items stored at the Resort or delivered to your room prior to check-in.
Mahalo for visiting planDisney, Mary. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you
many legendary adventures during your visit to
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa!
