*Asking for a friend*. We are trying to link a Disney Resort reservation to their Disney Experience App. They have added everyone who is included on the reservation to the Friends and Family list. But the names are still not on the dropdown options.

Hi there, Kelsey, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you and your friend have chosen to stop by to ask this great question about linking Family & Friends so that you can make plans together within your My Disney Experience Account. This feature is one of my favorite parts of vacation planning, though even I have had a couple of hiccups within the Family & Friends list that required the help of a Cast Member. Let's see if we can get this sorted for you!

Kelsey, there are are few things we can touch on to make sure that the people listed in Family & Friends are ready to make plans with your friend. You'll want to be sure that all of the Family & Friends invitations have been accepted via email (they are not "Pending"), that you've chosen the appropriate "Settings" for viewing each other's plans, and that any managed profiles are established. If you are confident that all of the Family & Friends accounts are linked and managed properly, but you're still having trouble, feel free to reach out to a helpful Cast Member for assistance. This is also the case if you're needing to remove a member of the party, or if you happen to see two profiles for the same person.

As your friend gets this situation settled, it'll be a great time for them to check out all of the amazing features of the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Aside from being able to easily plan with all of the members of my party, I love these features:

    • Map - find everything from restaurants to restrooms to experiences and get helpful walking directions, also see wait times at nearby attractions
    • Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering - place an order before you're ready to eat to minimize your wait time at a quick-service restaurant
    • Join the walk-up list for a table-service restaurant - no reservation, no problem! If the restaurant has the ability to accommodate more guests, you can join the walk-up list when that location opens.
    • Resort Hotel - within this section you can check on your dining plan and even see estimated bus arrival times to your hotel
Kelsey, I hope this information has been helpful for you and your friend as they continue to plan their stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please come back to planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have!

    TTFN! Ta ta for now!
