Hey, there Emily, and welcome back to planDisney. Let's talk about the differences between Guests staying on-property and those staying off-property regarding
advance reservations for dining and
Enchanting Extras. Sometimes they seem like "Heffalumps" or "Woozles": they are "very confusel."Here is the breakdown.
Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel may start booking reservations 60 days before their check-in date for their entire trip (up to 10 days). Think of it as a "60+10" rule. For example, if you are visiting for 7 days then you would be able to make all your advance dining reservations for the entire trip (all 7 days) 60 days from your check-in date. That means every reservation from Day 1 through Day 7 of your vacation can be made at the 60-day mark without having to wait any additional time. Guests staying off-property may only make dining reservations 60 days in advance, one day at a time. These Guests have to schedule online or call back every day which is 60 days before the date they want to dine. So 60 days before Day 1 they would go online or call for Day 1 reservations then 60 days before Day 2 they would have to go online or call for Day 2, etc...
I hope this clears up any confusion and you can see the huge advantage of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for making reservations for dining experiences.
planDisney Pro Tip: When it comes to advance dining reservations, we plan the hardest to get dining experiences towards the end of our visit when we are staying on the property. The fewest Guests will be able to plan beyond the 60-day mark which gives us the most opportunity to dine where we want.
Emily, have a pixie-dusted adventure and please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
