Hi Kaytia,
As Ellie from
Up said, "Adventure is out there," and I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a Disneyland Resort adventure for sometime soon! SO exciting!
When purchasing your
tickets, you'll also go through the process of making your
theme park reservations. As part of the phased reopening, Disney is limiting attendance and the reservation system is how they're managing how many Guests are in the parks. If you have a 1-Park-Per-Day ticket, you'll simply make your theme park reservation for the park you'd like to visit each day,
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park. If, however, you have a Park Hopper ticket, you'll make your theme park reservation for the
first park you'd like to visit, which is where the "Starting Park" terminology comes in. Once you've entered that first park, you'll be able to begin hopping back and forth between the two parks at 1 PM each day without needing any other reservations, subject to capacity limitations.
As you're thinking ahead to your visit, I'd encourage you to check out the helpful
Returning to a Land of Magic page for all kinds of tips about what to expect during the phased reopening. I'd also suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements and updates about the latest happenings, like the all-new
Avengers Campus which opened earlier this week! It's certainly an exciting time to visit The Happiest Place on Earth!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Kaytia! I hope all of the details of your visit come together perfectly and you have a truly magical adventure!
