Bikes at the Boardwalk

Ada from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I ask this because so many rules have changed. I am staying at the Baylake towers, but wanted to drive to the Boardwalk one evening. Am I allowed to still park at another resort for free?

Hi there, Ada! Welcome Home, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm always happy to lend a helping hand to a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and as a dedicated rule-follower myself, I absolutely appreciate this question!

There are all sorts of benefits that DVC Members enjoy, beyond the Deluxe-level accommodations. From access to Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours to a host of Member-exclusive deals and discounts, there's a lot to love!

While Members do receive free standard parking at the resort where they're staying and the theme parks, you cannot park at other resorts without a confirmed dining or recreation reservation. Using Disney transportation may be your best bet in this situation. Since you're staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort (great choice!), you can easily take a Disney bus from Magic Kingdom Park to one of the BoardWalk area resorts.

Another option would be to check out the BoardWalk on a day that you're planning to visit EPCOT. We often leave the park via the International Gateway exit to get dinner at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop or pick up a to-go dessert from The Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers

Rideshare is another travel method that we use regularly when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. There are usually lots of available drivers, which keeps prices pretty reasonable. It's always my go-to if we have a dining reservation at another resort!

I'm sorry this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, Ada, but I know you are going to have a magical vacation this month! If you have any other questions as you're getting your (Donald) ducks in a row for your DVC adventure, please come see us again anytime.

    Stay Magical!
