Who do I ask about non retired veteran discount trips to Disney? How do I know we qualify for them?

    Hi Sheraton,
You've made it to the right place! Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'd love to answer your question.

I'm assuming that you are referring to military veterans with your question.  As you know, the Department of Defense has two basic categories of people that have served in our Armed Forces-Veterans and Retirees.  Veterans are those that have served at all; retirees are those that have served for twenty years or longer and have continuing benefits from the Government.  Some disabled veterans also qualify for retiree benefits.

At the current time, the Walt Disney World Resort offers military discounts such as Military Promotional Ticket and discounted Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms to those that are active duty, reservists, or retirees only with proper ID.

However, please don't let this discourage you! Disney has Special Offers for anyone traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Bookmark the Special Offers page and refer back to it, as new offers are posted with some regularity.

Sheraton, I hope you can plan the vacation of your dreams! Come back and visit us with any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
