Hi. I want to ask the dolphin tour in Epcot, I made a reservation for my daughter, she loved dolphins and it’s her 9th birthday, but i just read that it’s needed a paying adult to accompany, but there’s no more reservation available, what can I do?

Hi lu, and welcome to planDisney! What a magical birthday that lies ahead for your daughter on her upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! To add a little extra birthday magic for her, be sure to stop by Guest Relations on your arrival day and ask for a special Happy Birthday pin for her to wear in the parks! This complimentary extra will be sure to bring her lots of magical birthday greetings and attention throughout your stay!

Now let's get into your question! I see that you have made a reservation for her to experience EPCOT Seas Adventure - Dolphins in Depth, and this tour does require all Guests under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a paying adult. Due to the tour capacity being limited to eight guests at a time, if there are no additional reservations available for the time you have previously selected, the best option would be to frequently check for availability in the days leading up to your trip or try to adjust your reservation to another day or time that offers availability for an adult to join your daughter on this underwater adventure.

I do understand that you may have other plans in place and adjusting your reservation may not work. If this is the case, lu, just keep swimming; there are still some ways I can recommend for your daughter to discover dolphins at EPCOT.

Inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion, the Underwater World at SeaBase houses a 5.7 million gallon aquatic habitat that is home to an array of sea animals - including dolphins! With 56 giant windows for underwater viewing, she can keep her eyes peeled for dolphins and a variety of other sea creatures! Throughout the day there are fish feedings, scuba dives, and Cast Members who will interact with Guests to answer questions and share their expert knowledge of the animals who call SeaBase home.

While you're there, I also recommend visiting with my favorite animals - the manatees! I remember visiting them as a child and telling my parents they were just like dolphins - only a little bigger!  These gentle giants are part of the Manatee Rehabilitation program at EPCOT and call it home temporarily until they are ready to return to the wild.

lu, I do hope you will get to experience the dolphin adventure with your daughter, and I am wishing you a fin-tastic aquatic adventure at EPCOT! Please stop by any time with additional questions - we would love to SEA you again!
