when you ask a cast member to trade pins with you, do they have a choice whether they can trade with you or not? or is it required that they must trade pins with a guest when asked? it's just that i would feel funny asking to trade a pin and they say no

    Hello Angelica,

Yes, a cast member must trade a pin if you request it as long as it is on one of the pin trading lanyards that they have.  I have seen many cast members that have their own personal pins on their shirt collars or jackets, etc...and these are not for trading, but any pin on a pin trading lanyard is up for grabs....no questions asked.  There is one exception to the rule here and that is if a cast member has a green lanyard.  These green lanyards are only for trading with the younger ones (ages 12 and under) and they must be requested by the child who is participating in the trade.....I know, so many rules, but so much fun.  Please visit this link for more information about pin trading. Have a great time trading pins on your upcoming trip!

    Best wishes,
