Can you ask a cast member at the entrance to haunted mansion (as you go in, before the stretching room) to skip that part if it scares your kids?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nina, we thank you for your loyalty!

Disney’s Haunted Mansion is a Disney-style supernatural journey through a myriad of chambers with 999 silly ghosts who have occupied the haunted estate since opening day, October 1, 1971.

Rest assured, Nina, you can bypass the ‘Stretching Room’ by speaking with a Cast Member at the main entrance, where you will be directed towards another entrance bypassing the Spooky Interactive Queue. If you wish to enjoy the ‘hands-on’ experiences through the Spooky Interactive Queue, please speak to a Cast Member at the estate entrance doors leading to the ‘Stretching Room’ and you will be assisted accordingly.

Nina, may I offer Disney’s Rider Switch service, which affords adult Guests turn-taking with little ones or Guests unable to ride?

Disney’s Planning for Kids is a great planning tool containing suggestions for suitable attractions, rides and experiences fostering Best Day Ever memories. The handy Preschool Parents’ Guide serves as a useful tool for quick reference during your visit.

Mom's Tips: Don't forget to customize your plans with My Disney Experience to optimize your visit. When at the Haunted Mansion take a look at the top of the estate to notice the chess game pieces- little Disney Imagineering details by Marc Davis.

    Happy 999 Haunts!
