Aside from rides, what are some MUST dos with a 7yr old girl & 5yr old boy at the Magic Kingdom? What unknown sideline thing could we do to make it extra special?

Welcome to planDisney, Michelle! Visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth with your kiddos is sure to create so many lasting, magical memories, and I'm excited to chat with you today about some hidden gems that might make the magic come even more alive at Magic Kingdom Park during your visit!

Michelle, while everything about a day at Magic Kingdom is special and magical, here are some suggestions for extras that your children might enjoy:
    • A Pirate's Adventure - Treasures of the Seven Seas: this interactive treasure hunt teams you up with Captain Jack Sparrow to complete a variety of missions throughout Adventureland!
    • Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland: not just a gift shop, you can stop in here to request a complimentary pixie dusting from a fairy godmother in training and also pop into the Royal Portrait Studio to capture some regal photos of your young princess and brave knight (the photo session is free of charge and does not require a reservation, and your downloads are included with your purchase of Memory Maker!)
    • MagicShots and special photo opportunities - Be sure to ask the PhotoPass photographers if they can include any special MagicShots in your photos and also stop by the Rapunzel-themed area between Haunted Mansion and "it's a small world" at dusk or dark to capture your photo with Rapunzel's floating lanterns!
    • Face Painting Kiosks - treat the kiddos to some fun face paint! The artists will have a book of options to represent their favorite characters, special events or holidays, or pretty much any other idea they have in mind! Pro tip: if it smudges, they're more than happy to touch it up for you throughout the day! My panelist pal Lizzie and I had our faces painted on a recent visit and we actually slept (very carefully!) with it and it lasted for the next day as well!
    • Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor offers kiddos a chance to text in their jokes while waiting in line for the next show! This is a great way to possibly hear their joke told in the show!
Michelle, I hope this helps! There's magic around every corner and in every land of Magic Kingdom and I know your family is going to have no trouble finding it and making the best memories together! If you have any other questions before your visit, come back to planDisney and let us know!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
