Ashley, thank you for answering my ?, you put my mind @ ease that we r doing the right thing. Others have said she was too young. How is it traveling w/kids this age? We have been camping & day trips, but not an airplane & hotel trip. Im a little

    Hello again Jocelyn!

I am so glad I helped ease your mind.  I really and truly believe that you're going to have an amazing time with your kids at Walt Disney World!  You will be so amazed to see your little one light up when they see Cinderella Castle or meet Mickey Mouse for the first time. I'm getting all teary-eyed just thinking about it!

One thing that really helped us on our plane ride was to bring my son's car seat and told him an airplane is just like a car.  He ended up falling asleep in the seat, just like he would have in the car.  We also kept our two kids separated.  I packed a special backpack for my older one with all sorts of new books, stickers, crayons, and loaded up a movie on my tablet for her to watch.

As for the hotel, try and make it as much like home as possible.  If you can cram a pillow or favorite blanket into your suitcase, do it!  We even brought their sound machine from home to use in the room as well as a night light.  It can get dark in hotel rooms and it made them feel much more relaxed having the night light on.  Also, try and stick to their schedule as much as you can.  We allowed a night or two where the kids could stay up for fireworks, but we tried to stick to bedtime on the other nights. .  And, definitely remember to take a break from the parks each day!

We rent our stroller from an outside company for our vacations, instead of lugging ours on the plane and through the airport.  And Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can provide a crib, bedrails, or a portable crib, if you need them.

I know it seems overwhelming at first, but you'll fall into your vacation groove and you'll be soaking up all of the magic Walt Disney World has to offer.

Come back and see me if you have any other questions, Jocelyn!
