Hi Ashley. What do you know about the Night Vision Goggles experience at AKL? We are going to Boma one night for supper and want to time it right so we can see animals before dinner, do the outdoor African story time and then the night vision googles. THX

    Hi Robyn!

If you're heading to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to dine at Boma, I definitely suggest saving some time for both the night-vision viewing of the savanna as well as the outdoor storytelling.  (and save room for the zebra dome deserts at Boma, yum!)

The night-vision viewing takes place at the Uzima Savanna Overlook (this can change, there is a rainy day location, just ask at the front desk or Concierge Desk and they will let you know).  It typically starts around 8:30pm and lasts until about 11:00pm.  I will say that it is a very popular activity, so you may have to wait for a few minutes before you'll be able to grab the goggles and take a gaze out at the savanna.

The nightly storytelling takes place at the fire pit near the Arusha Savanna.  Times may vary, but I believe it typically takes place around 7:30pm.

Your best bet is to call over to the resort on the morning of your reservation and confirm the times and locations of the events.  If you reservation at Boma is after 8:00, you should be able to do the storytelling first and then visit the Uzima Savanna Overlook for the night-vision viewing after your meal.

Thank you so much for coming to ask me another planning question!  I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have.

    Have a magical day, Robyn!
    Ashley
