Hiya, Brittney! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for entrusting me with this question.
To begin, I'm happy to assure you that Walt Disney World Resort is for EVERYONE. Walt Disney World Cast Members are guided by The Five Keys- Safety, Courtesy, Show, Efficiency and Inclusion. They use these pillars as a framework for their interactions with each and every Guest, ensuring magic for all who visit! In this
Disney Parks Blog post, you'll find more detailed information on the Inclusion Key and how Disney Parks are continuing to create a place "where everyone is welcome."
While there are no specific gender-neutral restrooms, there are Companion Restrooms throughout the parks that can be used by those of any gender identity.
This interactive map can help you locate the Companion Restrooms in each park. Simply click on the park you plan to visit next to the map and you'll find a list of available restrooms. Companion Restrooms will be labeled as such. You can also locate these restrooms using the
My Disney Experience app. I find that the easiest way to do this is by typing "Companion Restrooms" into the search bar at the bottom of the app's home screen and choosing the option for "Restrooms & Companion Restrooms." On this page, you can use the map to find the location of the appropriate restrooms or choose "Get Directions" for a step-by-step guide. On another helpful note, there are Companion Restrooms at all
First Aid Locations throughout Walt Disney World parks. You'll never have to go too far to find a restroom that suits your needs.
Brittney, though this may sound a bit odd, I actually have a favorite restroom at Walt Disney World. Often referred to as the "Tangled Toilets," there is an absolutely magical Rapunzel-themed restroom, which includes a Companion Restroom, located in
Magic Kingdom Park. If, like Rapunzel, your dream is to see the "floating lights," this is the place to do it! My good friend and fellow panelist, Anne Marie, gives
directions to the Tanged-themed Restrooms here if you'd like to see for yourself!
Brittney, I'd once again like to thank you for reaching out to me personally to help with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm here to let down my hair for anything else you may need along the way!
Until then- let your power shine,
Ashley
