Hi Ashley! Is Epcot worth it with small kids? If so, what do you recommend? Is there restrictions of what you can bring into the parks.. food/water etc?

    Welcome to planDisney, Shannon!

I have to be honest,  EPCOT is my favorite park at Walt Disney World Resort. I love being immersed in the different cultures around the World Showcase and eating and drinking all of the delicious offerings throughout the park. Though there may not be quite as many traditional attractions at EPCOT, there are plenty of can't miss experiences for Guests of all ages!

When planning a trip to Walt Disney World with my family, I tend to set aside one half-day to enjoy Epcot. There are a number of rides in the park with no height requirements, making them perfect for families with small children. The newest ride, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, shrinks Guests to the size of Remy and his rat friends, sending them on a culinary adventure through the famous Gusteau's Restaurant! Of course, Frozen Ever After is at the top of my daughter's list. We can never miss an opportunity to visit Elsa's Ice Castle with our favorite Frozen friends! Check out this list of attraction height requirements in EPCOT to see which other offerings might be perfectly suited for your little ones!

Shannon, our favorite thing about EPCOT is the abundant selection of food! You are permitted to bring your own food and water into the parks, though at EPCOT, you're not likely to need it! We have one very adventurous little eater and one who sticks to his two main food groups- chicken tenders and French fries. EPCOT pleases eaters of all kinds! Whether you sit down at The Garden Grill Restaurant or sample your way around the World Showcase, everyone can find something they like! Make sure to take a quick stop at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie for a sweet treat everyone will love!

EPCOT also has Kidcot Fun Stops throughout the World Showcase. Each country has a special setup where kids can complete an activity and collect a small memento, allowing them to learn about new places and have fun in the process! Your little ones will also love the Family Play Zone Playground, located near Test Track. They can burn off some steam jumping and climbing, while the grown-ups take a much-needed rest.

As you can see, there are so many options for families with small kids at EPCOT! You could spend as much time here as you'd like, but with the attention span of my own small kids, I find that half of the day is all we really need.

Thanks again for stopping by planDisney! I hope I've helped make your planning a breeze!
