I recently had the opportunity to stay at the
Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and it was as miraculous as I imagined. The rooms are definitely "practically perfect in every way," and I love the perfectly manicured grounds. Speaking of the landscaping, let's get to your question. Last time I visited, I did not recall seeing any artificial grass at the Grand Floridian Resort, but I did want to double-check. I reached out to a Cast Member, and they said that at the Grand Floridian Resort you will primarily see St. Augustine grass, but currently there is no artificial grass.
I hope this was helpful, Mary. I'm not sure if you are looking for grass recommendations because of an allergy, but I wanted to let you know about allergy-friendly cleaning services. I have a grass allergy but luckily have never had any issues with my allergy while staying at Walt Disney World Resort. However, if you are especially sensitive to allergies, you can request an allergy cleaning through
Guest Services at your resort hotel before you arrive. The cleanings include things like hypoallergenic pillows, fragrance-free soaps, and linens cleaned in allergy-safe detergent. It really comes in handy if you need it! If there is anything else you need, please come back and see us.
