With the ART bus shutting down will there be an alternative form of transportation from the Toy Story parking lot to the park?

Welcome to planDisney, Eddy. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. It sounds like you're planning for a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort and I'm here to help.

A key part of your planning adventure is figuring out just exactly how to get to Disneyland once you're here. Like you, I was sad to hear the announcement that Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART) buses will soon discontinue their service. It has been a helpful and convenient option that I've used to get to the park from my Good Neighbor Hotel.

I spoke with a Cast Member earlier today who could only tell me that the buses are running from the Toy Story Parking Area as of today and didn't have any additional information to share. I also live chatted with an agent at ART who shared a similar sentiment that no additional information for the Toy Story Parking Area buses was available at this time. I'm sorry I don't have better news to share with you, Eddy. I wish I could ask Madame Leota to see into the future and help us out.

While this is probably not the news you were hoping for, there are some alternatives to consider for your upcoming trip. If you will be driving to the resort, you may consider parking at the Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals Parking Structures. Complimentary tram service is offered from both of these structures to the park and makes for a fantastic first ride of the day. You may also consider taking a rideshare to the parks from your hotel. I've used this option a few times when I was in a pinch, and the drop off is conveniently located on Harbor Boulevard outside of the main entrance. If you haven't booked your hotel yet, you can always filter the Good Neighbor Hotels by their "Amenities" and search for those that offer transportation to the parks.

In the meantime, I also recommend keeping an ear to the ground for any additional updates moving forward. I will be doing the same thing with a visit planned for shortly after this change takes place and a stay at a nearby Good Neighbor Hotel.

Eddy, I hope this has been somewhat helpful as you're getting things in order for your upcoming trip. Hopefully, this is an ever-so-slight and small bump in the road. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with. I'll be wishing on a star that we hear some news soon.
