For Art of Animation, two questions..... Is it $50 a night for dogs? And is that fee per room or per dog? Thank you!

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Roberta. Thanks for dropping by with your question.

A few years back, Walt Disney World introduced us to a new program that Pluto was pretty happy about. A few of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels became dog friendly. These resorts were Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort and the resort that has interested you, Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Each of these resorts has a separate room block area specifically designated to be pet friendly. They are close to pet relief areas and have nice sidewalks - perfect for taking your pet on an afternoon stroll.

Roberta, I think you'll be happy to know that the $50.00 pet fee is per night, not per dog. So if you do bring your two pups, you'll only be charged one $50 fee each night. A few things to keep in mind if you bring your dogs is that they must be current on all vaccinations. I recommend bringing a copy of your vet records just in case something happens and they ask to see them. Your dogs will be required to be on a leash at all times when outside of your room, Roberta, and you'll want to make sure you bring plenty of food for them. I don't recall seeing dog food for sale in the gift shop areas.

I hope this helps prepare you for your most magical vacation with your dogs. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
