Art of Animation or All Star Movies resort? Our children will be 4 & 2 when we visit & having a value resort with lots of characters is important. We only need a standard room and walking distances to transportation is important.

Howdy Beth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My favorite Walt Disney World Resort questions to answer are those about Disney Resort hotels! Having stayed at both of these Disney Value Resorts, my suggestion to you is Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, however, both are great choices. The reason I am suggesting this Disney Resort hotel is that of the walking distance to transportation. I would also suggest a Preferred Room for this same reason. There are many Disney Characters in the form of statues and displays at both Disney Resort hotels, although there are no Character Meet & Greets available at either.

If the distance to transportation was not an issue, then hands down I would suggest Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! There is a fantastic splash area for younger children, excellent themed sections (Cars, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo), and a delicious Quick Service location! The only setback is that the Standard Rooms, in The Little Mermaid section can be quite the hike, yet are worth it in my opinion! The Family Suites are the rooms that will be closest to Disney’s Complimentary Resort Transportation

I hope that my insight will help you make your decision and that you have a great time planning! Please come back to see us again soon!
