How would I get from Art of Animation Resort to Fort Lauderdale cruise port?

    Hello Erica!

Thank you for visiting planDisney and trusting us to help plan your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort and your exciting cruise. I’m delighted to assist you with your question about transportation from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to the port in Fort Lauderdale.

Currently, Disney Cruise Line does not offer ground transportation from the hotels at Walt Disney World Resort to the cruise port in Fort Lauderdale. However, there are several options you can consider for a comfortable and efficient transfer.

One option is to rent a car. This will give you the flexibility to travel at your own pace and enjoy the scenery along the way. Major car rental companies are available both at Walt Disney World Resort and in Fort Lauderdale, making it easy to pick up and drop off the vehicle.

Another option is to hire a private transportation service, such as a chauffeured car or a shuttle van. Several companies offer this type of service and can be booked in advance. This can be especially convenient if you are traveling with a lot of luggage or in a large group.

You might also consider taking a short flight from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Once in Fort Lauderdale, you can use a taxi or shuttle service to reach the port.

A modern and very convenient option is the Brightline high-speed train service. This train offers a quick and comfortable connection between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. You can enjoy a relaxing journey with onboard amenities, and upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale, you can take a taxi or shuttle service to reach the port.

A helpful tip is to plan your transportation well in advance to avoid any last-minute stress. Make sure to check the transportation options and schedules to find the best solution for you and your family.

I hope this information is helpful and that you have an incredible experience both at Walt Disney World Resort and on your cruise. If you have more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to write back. We’re here to ensure your experience is truly magical!

    Best regards,
