To get from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom, is it normally faster to take the bus, or to take the skyliner to the Epcot monorail, connecting to either the express monorail or the ferryboat?

    Hi Larry!

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Glad to hear that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Disney's Art of Animation is a great resort and one of my family's favorites. When staying at Disney's Art of Animation, the fastest way to get to Magic Kingdom,  is taking Disney's bus transportation. The ride is typically 15 - 20 minutes.   If you take Disney's Skyliner, the travel time from Disney's Art of Animation to Epcot is about 10 - 15 minutes, however, you would have to enter Epcot through the International Gateway entrance and make your way to the front entrance of the park. Right outside the front entrance of Epcot is the monorail station where you can take the Epcot Monorail line to the Transportation and Ticket Center, which can take between 5 - 10 minutes. Then once you reach the Transportation and Ticket Center, you change to the Express Monorail Line which will take you to Magic Kingdom in about 2 - 3 minutes. The ferryboats do not travel from Epcot to Magic Kingdom, so that's not an option either. Keep in mind that the travel times I have mentioned do not include the waiting time for the different transportation methods.

Did you know?: During your visit, Epcot will be in full bloom with the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! The floral displays featuring Disney Characters are breathtaking! Be sure to hop on to Disney's Skyliner and head over to Epcot to check it out!

It has been a pleasure assisting you Larry! If I can help you with a fastpass+ recommendation or any other planning question, please do not hesitate to send me your questions!
