Hi Deborah,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family stayed “under the sea” in a The Little Mermaid room at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort this past Spring, and we all loved flippin’ our fins in the themed pool, looking for all the hidden details in our room’s décor (we found at least 20 thingamabobs), and taking pictures with the larger-than-life icons from the movie.
I have fin-tastic news: a mini-refrigerator is one of the gadgets and gizmos you’ll find in a The Little Mermaid Standard Room. We kept bottled water, fruit, and snacks in ours with no trouble. You’ll be able to purchase drinks and snacks at the
Landscape of Flavors food court in resort’s main building – something I really enjoyed about that food court was that they can whip up smoothies and coffee beverages.
I hope you love being “part of that world” at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Deborah! Be sure to stroll along down the (what’s that word again?) path to see the other themed areas of the resort, and definitely bring your camera, along with Ariel’s playful sense of adventure. There are Disney details everywhere!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
