Hello, I see that Art of Animation is now Dog friendly (I can appreciate as a former dog owner). My question is are there any family suite rooms that are NOT used for dogs? My son is highly allergic to them, so don’t want to stay in a room that had them.

    Hiya, Daniel!

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to chat about your upcoming vacation! November is such a great time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, and your decision to (sit and) stay at a Disney Resort hotel is sure to make your visit even more magical. Between the complimentary theme park transportation, early theme park entry, and the option to add a dining plan to your vacation package, the benefits available to Guests of Disney Resort hotels are unparalleled.

As a proud Dog Dad himself, Mickey graciously allows Guests to bring their four-legged family members with them to select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, but he also understands that not all Guests are interested in making the sights, sounds, or dander of canines a part of their resort hotel stay. Because of this, Walt Disney World Resort has allocated certain sections or select floors of these hotels as dog-friendly. You can easily request a room away from the dog-friendly section by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speaking to a friendly Cast Member about your son's allergies. They will happily note this on your reservation so that his health is prioritized when assigning your room.

Now, if you'd like your son to get some quality (allergy-friendly) pets in with Mickey's good boy, be sure to check your My Disney Experience mobile app for character times and locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. I was able to give Pluto a big hug last week in EPCOT, and it made my day. If you're hoping for a tail-wag-inducing interaction, be sure to give him a good snout scratch!

I hope this was helpful, Daniel, and gives you peace of mind when planning your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If you have any additional vacation planning questions, be sure to stop back by. We're always happy to help!

    Thinking happy thoughts,
    Lizzie
