How to get from Art of Animation to Chef Mickey’s

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Denise, and welcome to planDisney. Your trip is in three days. Eeek! I know you are super excited.

One of my favorite challenges is figuring out the fastest way "hither, thither, and yon" at Walt Disney World Resort. The biggest challenge is traveling between Disney Resorts Collection hotels that are not in the same area; e.g. EPCOT Area hotels to Magic Kingdom Area Hotels, etc.

The fastest way will be by the paid Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft or other ride-share options. You will travel directly from Animation Hall (Resort hotel lobby) to Disney's Contemporary Resort where Mickey will serve you some scrumptious dishes in the Grand Canyon Concourse.

There is a complimentary option but it may take up to 90 minutes to get from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Walt Disney World Bus Service does not travel between Resort hotels in different areas. You must go to Magic Kingdom Park first and then take the walkway to Disney's Contemporary Resort. The walk is about 10-12 minutes depending on your cadence.

A huge benefit of the My Disney Experience app is that it will give you all the complimentary opinions between any two places and tell you anticipated bus times from your Resort hotel.

I prefer the direct route because it saves time and I do not have to worry about a "layover" at another location.

Denise, I love helping fellow Georgians enjoy their time at the "Place Where Dreams Come True." Please feel free to reach out to planDisney with follow-up questions or additional Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
