We will be arriving at the WL on November 17th. Will the Christmas decorations be up around the theme parks and resorts by then?

    Hello Susan!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm glad you stopped in!

Christmas decorations usually begin going up around the Walt Disney World parks and resort hotels in early November. By mid-month when you arrive, you'll likely find yourselves surrounded by a holiday wonderland! It's absolutely such a breath-taking sight to see.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort is no exception either. The enormous tree which adorns the lobby is amongst my favourite decorated areas to visit during the holidays. Be sure to take advantage of the perfect family photo opportunity offered here.

Other 'must not miss' spots to check out the holiday décor include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Contemporary Resort and Beach Club Resort. There's just nothing quite like being at Walt Disney World during the holiday season! Be sure to consider a visit to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party during your stay. This special, ticketed event happens select evenings in November and December at Magic Kingdom Park.

If you have additional questions about your upcoming trip, I hope you'll write me back again Susan. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you discover the splendour of Walt Disney World during the holidays!
