We will be arriving at Ft Wildeness Cabins December 12th for a week, what will be the best way to get to the theme parks? Bus or boat

    Christy:

Fort Wilderness should start looking festive by your visit with Christmas decorations popping up among the cabins and campsites!

You really don't have a choice of Disney transportation to the theme parks from the fort. If you want to go to the Magic Kingdom, you will take an internal fort bus down to the Settlement and walk over to the marina to load a boat. If you want to go to the other theme parks or Downtown Disney, you'll take an internal fort bus in the opposite direction to the Outpost Bus Depot and then transfer to a bus to the designated theme park.

Of course, in my opinion, the "best" way to get to the parks from a cabin is in a car because it cuts down on bus wait times, but if you don't have one, Disney transportation will allow you to let someone else do the driving and you'll be dropped off closer to the gate.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
