    Hello! We are arriving this week and I want to now add Genie+ my tickets and park reservations are already made. Can I do this through the app or do I need to contact my TA or Disney?

    Omigosh, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here!  Will you be too excited to sleep??

    I'm glad to hear you are all set with your tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations.  There are essentially two ways to purchase Disney Genie+ service.  Guests can buy theme park tickets that include Disney Genie+ service for all admission days on the ticket, or Disney Genie+ service can be purchased on a daily basis through the My Disney Experience mobile app.

    Depending on what type of tickets you purchased, you may be able to modify your tickets yourself via the My Disney Experience app or on the My Disney Experience website.  Using the menu button in the lower right corner of the home screen, select "Tickets and Passes" and look for the option to "Change Ticket".  If your tickets are showing this option, follow the steps and complete the checkout process.  If you don't see this option, no worries!  I have a bunch of tickets linked to my account and none of them give me this option.  If you like, you can stop by a Guest Relations location or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to upgrade your tickets to include Disney Genie+.  Honestly, I personally would skip the extra step and just purchase Disney Genie+ each day you plan to use it.

    I actually prefer purchasing Disney Genie+ on a per diem basis.  Depending on my plans, I may not really need Disney Genie+ service each day of my vacation.  Technically, you can purchase Disney Genie+ any time after midnight on the day you plan to use it, but it is not necessary to stay up until the pumpkin hour!  Since Guests may reserve their first Lightning Lane attraction beginning at 7:00 am on the day of their visit, I recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ a few minutes prior to 7:00 am -- it will only take a few moments.  There is no limit to the number of Guests who can purchase Disney Genie+ service, so you do not need to worry about it selling out.

    To purchase Disney Genie+ service for the day, look for the purple banner on the home screen and select "Get Disney Genie+ for Today".  If you don't see it on the home screen, use the menu button to select "My Genie Day" and the banner should be at the bottom of the screen.  You'll then select your party and complete your purchase.  Having a payment method stored in your My Disney Experience account will make the purchase process even quicker.  Select the menu button and scroll down to "My profile" to add or edit a payment method.
