Arriving at WDW on sons 4th birthday; however, we will not be visiting a park or having a table service meal until the following day. Is he going to miss out on extra attention/special treatment since we aren't going to be in MK on his actual birthday?

Hello Keely!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I assure you, your son will not miss out on any of the birthday celebration by celebrating it the next day.  In fact, if you wanted, the celebration can last your entire vacation.  When you check in, I encourage you to tell the Cast Member you are celebrating your son's birthday.  They will give you a "Happy Birthday" button with your son's name on it to wear during vacation.  Be prepared, he will get so many birthday wishes from Cast Members and Guests alike.  It's really fun.  If you made dining reservation, I hope you mentioned you were celebrating.  If not, no big deal, you can just tell the Cast Member at check in that it's your sons birthday celebration and he will probably receive a special treat like a cupcake after dinner. Disney really goes out of its way to make birthday celebrations that much more special.  I am positive whatever day you celebrate it, he will have a fun day!

Be sure to tell your son happy happy birthday from all of us Moms here on the panel.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
