Arriving at WDW Nov 8-15. We booked a room at Movie Resort for the Free Dining Offer .Do you know the cost for upgrading to the Regular Free Dining ? We have a room only booked for the 8th .Will we have to move to another room the next day ?

    Hi Lisa!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

In order to upgrade your Magic Your Way Vacation package to include the Basic Disney Dining Plan rather than the Quick Service Dining Plan, you'll simply speak to a Cast Member at (407) 939-7675. Be sure to have your reservation number handy at the time of your call.

A Cast Member will quote you the exact, total difference in price when you call but I'll be happy to give you the estimated figures. You can expect to pay approx. $17 per adult per night of resort stay or an additional $3.50/child (9 & under) per night to upgrade from Quick Service to the Disney Dining Plan.

If you've booked two consecutive Resort Reservations in order to take advantage of this great deal, there is a small chance that you may be required to change rooms, depending on resort bookings and requests on file. I'd recommend you do a few things ahead of time to lessen the likelihood of needing to switch rooms. First of all, when you call in to upgrade your plan, also have the Cast Member check to make sure that your Resort Reservations are linked together in the computer system. Upon arrival and check-in at Disney's All Star Movies Resort, advise the Cast Member checking you in that you have a continuing reservation the next day and would prefer not to have to change room locations. First thing the next morning, visit the front desk to perform your check-out and check-in to the new reservation. Room assignments are made early in the day so be sure that you process your new 'arrival' early. If you wish, you may even want to pop by the front desk, or phone, in the late evening after your first day, just to follow up on your request to keep the same room for your consecutive reservation.

Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question. I hope to hear from you again soon.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Lisa!
