We will be arriving at WDW the last week in September. What kind of temperatures should we prepare for?

I have good news and bad news.  September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World because there are fantastic discounts to be had and crowds are usually very tolerable.  Okay, now brace yourself for the bad news.  Weather at this time of year is very sticky and quite warm.  The average high is around 90 degrees and factoring in the humidity it can be downright hot.  Every cloud has a silver lining though and in this case the silver linings are the afternoon thunderstorms that often sweep in and serve to cool things down a bit.  You'll want to be sure to bring ponchos and stroller covers (if need be) to protect yourself from those afternoon showers.  The rain often falls fast and furiously so don't worry about it putting too much of a damper (no pun intended) on your day.  My family has always vacationed at WDW in September and as long as you go in prepared the weather is very bearable.  In fact, I'd deal with the weather over the crowds any day!  Hope you have a fabulous trip in September - and maybe I'll see you there!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
