Arriving in WDW Dec 5th staying at WL. kids are 14,10,7 Should have lunch at Whispering canyon at 2pm then go to MK or wait till 5:30 for Chef Mickey's? If we wait ,can we make it to MK in time for 7pm parade and fireworks? Thanks

Hello Margie!  Personally I would wait for Chef Mickey's!  I have been to Whispering Canyon for lunch and it's not nearly as fun as it is for dinner there.  I think the excitement of Chef Mickey's will start your vacation off with a bang!

The nice thing about Chef Mickey's is after you have eaten, you can actually walk to Magic Kingdom by using the walking path (it starts by the bus depot).  A leisurely stroll will take about 10 minutes at the most.  I do think you'll be able to get to Magic Kingdom in time for the parade, albeit you probably won't have the best spot.

    Have a wonderful vacation!  Diane : )
