We are arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort on Sunday, September 29, 2013 and won't be going to any of the parks that day. What are your recommendations for a great place to eat that night for a table service meal where we can use our dining plan?

    Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I highly recommend heading out to Downtown Disney, accessible via the Walt Disney World Transportation buses. If using the Disney Dining Plan, great table-service options include Raglan Road, Portobello, or Paradiso 37 (all favorites of ours). Raglan Road offers delicious Irish fare and Irish dancers each evening, suitable to entertain all ages. After dinner, you can stroll through all of the entertainment and shopping. It's really a great stop to kick off your vacation. Buses will continue to run into the wee hours, so there's no worry about getting to and from your Disney Resort Hotel.

Be sure to book an Advanced Dining Reservation online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463. When considering my family's meals, I like to browse the menus at the independent site allears.net. It's a very helpful resource if you have picky eaters in the bunch.

There are many excellent dining options at the Disney Resort Hotels, too, so let me know if you'd prefer to dine at a Resort. I'd be happy to offer additional suggestions, Benjamin.

    Happy planning,

    Sherri
