All aboard, Edna, and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you're
on track for a magical
Walt Disney World vacation! Have you heard the saying "it's not the destination, it's the journey"? That may be true in many cases -
except when the destination is The Most Magical Place on Earth! So let's go full steam ahead and straight into your question.
If you're traveling to Orlando by Amtrak, chances are you'll be disembarking at one of the following train stations: Kissimmee (KIS), Sanford (SDF), or Orlando (ORL). If this is the case, your best bet is to use a ride service like Uber or Lyft. If you are arriving by Brightline, you will arrive at the Orlando International Airport. While you can certainly use a Lyft or Uber from there, you will also have the option to utilize Mears Connect. Mears Connect is convenient and cost-effective, and my family uses it for ground transportation every time we visit! Best of all, their buses do service your home away from home,
Shades of Green!
Edna, if you're a rail enthusiast just like Walt Disney himself, be sure to check out the
Walt Disney World Railroad when you visit
Magic Kingdom Park. The railroad is currently operating with a modified route (thanks to
the upcoming additions to Magic Kingdom!), but you can still enjoy the charm of this beloved classic attraction!
I hope this is helpful, Edna, and that your upcoming visit is full of magic and memories! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Allison
