Will be arriving thanksgiving day . What restaurant in downtown Disney will be serving a thanks giving meal ??

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World is a special time. You can celebrate that holiday and then join in Christmas activities as well. My family can't wait to celebrate there again this year.

I haven't seen a full list yet of what restaurants are offering a special Thanksgiving meal, but I can tell you that last year many had traditional fare on their menus. At Downtown Disney last year, those included a couple of our favorites, such as Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe. I would check to see what each of those is planning. We have friends who dine at House of Blues for Thanksgiving every year, too, and love it.

You might also want to check into restaurants inside resorts, if you don't find anything at Downtown Disney that you find appealing or convenient.

I suggest you make an advanced dining reservation as soon as possible to assure that you will be able to find a table. Last year, we ate our Thanksgiving meal at Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was fully booked and not accepting walk-ins. (It was a terrific choice, by the way, because the normal buffet was augmented with turkey and trimmings. I believe other buffets do the same thing.) This year, we're opting for Thanksgiving dinner at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge.

I hope that gives you a little guidance. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. Enjoy the holiday with your family.
