Hi we are arriving on Sunday June 5 th 2 groups together one of the group has booked chef mickeys for us all and now can’t go will the booking still stand for the rest of us

    Hi Sarah,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Your vacation is in less than a month, how exciting! Has the countdown begun yet? Sorry to hear that one of the families can’t go, I’m going to list a few options below, choose what works best for your family!

One option would be for the other family to keep that Chef Mickey’s reservation in their My Disney Experience mobile app. Since your family is likely linked to the reservation, it should be showing up in your app. If not, make sure that the other family shares their plans with you so the reservation is visible in your account.

When you arrive or before your dining reservation, go over to Guest Relations to let them know about the situation to see if they will be able to adjust the number in the party and see if they can adjust the name on the reservation. No promises here, but it’s definitely worth asking!

If you aren’t able to go to Guest Relations, another option would be when you check-in for the reservation, share with the Cast Members the name the reservation is under, that the number in your party changed, and that you will need less seats. Fingers crossed they will be able to adjust accordingly. Maybe head to the restaurant earlier than the reservation time just in case!

The final option would be to cancel the reservation all together and join the Mobile Dine Walk-Up List. I’ve recently been able to score a few dining reservations through the My Disney Experience mobile app by doing this. To do the walk-up reservation, you’ll want to be physically at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, then you just select the “Join Walk-Up List” within the app on the Chef Mickey’s page. These reservations are subject to availability, but if you get there early, you’ll have a chance. This is a great option if you have some flexibility and want to change the day or time you dine. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your summer holiday. If you have any other vacation or planning questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
